  • How it works - Suppliers’ Guide

    Suppliers’ Guide

Chemical’s trading, despite it’s commercial and political risks, has always faced many structural constraints and difficulties, and there are currently many problems facing this trade, which in some cases lead to the failure of traders.

By joining Shimico, you can experience a professional environment for fast, secure and obvious sales, and expand and grow your business.

Publish a selling post for free

Before doing anything, you are required to create an account. Creating an account is free in Shimico, and there are two types of accounts including personal and company.

    • ● Company account: It is for organizations and companies that have legal representative.

    • ● Personal account: It is for users who work independent from any companies or organizations. Their activities may include providing, manufacturing, exporting and importing.

    Steps to create an account

    • ● Go to the create account page and select the account type (legal or personal).

    • ● Enter your email address and set your password (username is your email).

    • ● By logging into your profile, enter the complementary information related to your account.

    • ● Upload your ID card, commercial card, official newspaper, and other required documents.

    • ● Enter your addresses.

All the staff of a company have separate personal accounts in the company account and can create separate personal accounts with separate login information for the company staff.

Note 1: The documents in the company account must be complete and valid, otherwise, Shimico will not confirm the account and the user will not be allowed to publish a post.

Note 2: If the information is not complete, you cannot be given the Shimico’s trust sign.

Publishing a post is done in three steps.

Through the website home page, the header or your dashboard enter the publishing post page.

    • 1st step: Choose deal type

    1. Specify the type of deal post to be published. There are two categories for the type of publication: private and public. If you choose private publishing, you should specify the sources of contact list in the first box. Contact list is a list of people you have previously traded with. If you want your ad to be sent to people who are not or have not previously traded with Shimico, you must enter their email/s in the second box.

Note: In private publishing, only those whom you have invited as buyers and suppliers or by entering an email, can view your post on their dashboard.

    2. Select the type of post and trade zone in the next step.

    3. Select your product from the opened menu. After selecting each category, its product subcategories can be also selected and should be specified. To find the target market for the product you want, you can search with the information such as product name, chemical formula or international coding. If you do not have this information, you can use the industry list. The industry list is based on the application of goods and you can see it on the first page of Shimico site in the category section.

    • 2nd step: Product information

In this step, product information must be specified accurately. This information is: product image, purity, color, grade, state, brand, origin, unit, amount of goods and type of product packaging.

    • 3rd step: Trade information

In this section, you must complete the details of the transaction.

    1. Select the country, province and city of delivery.

    2. Specify the expiration date of the post (the bids opening date). In this step, specify how long users can bid on your post. Please note that you will not receive any offers after the expiration date of the post.

    3. Specify the terms of delivery, minimum and maximum price and currency paid. Note that the price is directly related to the amount specified in the previous step.

    4. At the end, specify the payment method. Then you can choose the additional costs. Additional costs are the costs that are not included in the price and are paid by the other party of the transaction.

    5. After this step, you can use related keywords up to 10 words to make your post more visible. Some keywords will be entered automatically based on the details you have already selected. You can edit them as you wish.

    6. The next step is to send product documents, certificates and packing image that by selecting the option, you must upload the files related to product documents. To upload each document, select its name and then upload the file or files of the document.

    7. Finally, you can publish your post by agreeing with Shimico's policies and rules. In this step you, will see a preview of your post. If some parts of the post need to be edited, you can go back to that step and edit it and then publish it.

    8. After publishing the post using the companion option, you can share your post on social media with other partners and sellers.

Note: Editing and republishing the post

If the published post does not receive any offers within the specified period, you can edit and republish it through your panel. It is possible to republish the announcement once.

After publishing the selling post, you will have to wait to receive other users' buying bids. As soon as you receive the bids, in your dashboard you can:

    • • Reject or accept users' bids.

    • • To check the bidders, you can click on their stars and see the comments of people who have already traded with them in the transaction experience section. Also, by clicking on each user's image, you can see a list of all the transactions he/she is doing or has done, then decide whether to accept the user's bid or reject it.

    • • If you accept the bid, a chat box will be activated for that bid. In this step, you can start a conversation about the transaction.

Direct business dialogue can be used for 30 days. In legal accounts, the user and the company account manager can view the direct business dialog. Only the company account administrator is allowed to view the partners' transactions and their direct business dialog page. At the bottom of the chat box, the required documents and the uploaded documents of the deal are displayed. This means that both parties can fully view and receive the documents.

At the end of the deal, you can leave a review to the buyer and share your opinion about the deal with him/her so that other users can use your opinion and experience for their next Shimico deals.

Displaying the published posts by users will be prioritized according to the points they receive.

Also, the amount and duration of the post publishers' response is calculated and placed on the product page and their profile for other users to view.
